Appendix A New Features in EAServer Version 3.6.1
Version 3.6.1 introduces support for the J2EE application client model. An application client is a standalone Java application that uses the EJB client interface to invoke components on Jaguar servers and is run by the Jaguar application client container. This model simplifies the deployment of standalone EJB client applications by allowing you to configure the application's component references, database connection references, and environment properties in Jaguar Manager. For more information on this feature, see Chapter 11, "Creating Application Clients" in the Jaguar CTS Programmer's Guide.
